Velocista dominicano Félix Sánchez gana oro para RD
Londres.- El velocista dominicano Félix Sánchez consiguió su segundo título olímpico de los 400 metros con vallas, mientras que el puertorriqueño Javier Culson logró la medalla de bronce.
Sánchez ganó con un tiempo de 47.63 por delante del estadounidense Michael Tinsley, quien logró 47.91 y Culson cerró el podio con 48.10.
Ocho años después de proclamarse campeón olímpico por primera vez en Atenas, súper Sánchez repitió este lunes la gesta en el estadio londinense.
El otro oro dominicano lo ganó en los pasados Juegos de Pekín el boxeador Félix Díaz, campeón del peso welter.
La única plata dominicana corresponde a la taekwondista Gabriel Mercedes, lograda en la categoría de 58 kilos en Pekín 2008.
Con anterioridad, el boxeador Pedro Julio Nolasco había ganado el bronce en Los Ángeles’84 dentro de la categoría de 54 kilos.
