Productores de leche creen hay razones para protestas contra reforma fiscal
Santo Domingo, RD.- La Asociación Dominicana de Productores de Leche (Aproleche) y diferentes líderes ganaderos consideran que existen razones para protestar por la reforma fiscal y también por la inoperancia en que se encuentra la Dirección General de Ganadería.
Eric Rivero, presidente de Aproleche, dijo que los miles de afiliados a esta organización en el territorio nacional decidieron iniciar las consultas para sumarse a otras entidades empresariales, de la sociedad civil y de la rama productiva, para lograr sus reivindicaciones sociales.
Rivero anunció que junto a los productores de queso del país, asociados en la Federación Dominicana de Procesadores de Lácteos (Fedelac) se oponen a que se les aplique el Impuesto sobre Transferencia de Bienes Industrializados y Servicios (Itbis) al yogurt y al queso madurado, porque esto reduciría la ingesta de proteínas de la población consumidora, agudizando la desnutrición del pueblo dominicano.
Refirió que, además de los reclamos que año por año ha venido enarbolando el sector ganadero, existe ahora la necesidad imperiosa de que el presidente Danilo Medina complete los cambios en el sector agropecuario del tren gubernamental, debido a que la Dirección General de Ganadería se encuentra prácticamente acéfala.
El dirigente agropecuario destacó que aunque el nuevo ministro de Agricultura ha hecho sus esfuerzos por un reencuentro con ese sector, “lamentablemente aún existe el escollo de la Dirección General de Ganadería”.
Los productores ganaderos han sido convocados en forma masiva para este miércoles 7 a las 9:30 de la mañana a una Asamblea Ganadera, actividad en la que estarán discutiendo la grave situación por la que atraviesan, y donde se elaborará un plan de lucha.
Organizaciones populares, choferiles, comunitarias y de juntas de vecinos anunciaron la realización de un paro nacional de labores el próximo 6 de noviembre, en protesta por la puesta en vigencia de la reforma fiscal, que ya fue aprobada el pasado viernes por el Senado, y en contra de nuevas cargas impositivas para los sectores más desposeídos del país. La reforma fiscal será discutida el próximo martes en la Cámara de Diputados.
