Ismael: haría transformaciones de ganar próximas elecciones
Santo Domingo, RD.- El candidato presidencial del Partido Demócrata Institucional (PDI), tras ser elegido por la asamblea de delegados de la organización política prometió realizar profundas transformaciones para despertar la identidad y el levantamiento del país, en el marco de una nueva democracia con la participación efectiva del pueblo dominicano, que es el verdadero cambio.
Ismael Reyes, lanzó duras críticas a los gobiernos que ha tenido el país en los últimos años, porque han permitido el debilitamiento de las Instituciones, el crecimiento de la corrupción, del analfabetismo, de la miseria y otras debilidades que han convertido al país en una nación que transita a la defensiva.
En el discurso central pronunciado en la Segunda Convención Nacional Ordinaria del PDI, el candidato presidencial y líder de la organización, agradeció el apoyo de los hombres y mujeres que han transitado a su lado en esta ardua tarea de construir un partido que realmente pueda producir las transformaciones que requiere el país.
Reyes expresó que “los dominicanos tenemos un país de pequeño territorio, pero cargado de grandes esperanzas y de grandes sueños por obtener niveles de prosperidad y de bienestar, pero lamentablemente hoy, nos azotan graves problemas sociales, morales, espirituales, económicos y políticos, que parecen agravarse con el paso del tiempo. Parecería, como si nos lo hubieran robado todo, el pasado, el presente y también el porvenir”.
Planteó que las prioridades en su plataforma de gobierno las constituyen, la alimentación, la salud, la educación, la reformulación de las políticas para el sector productivo y una nueva forma de administrar los bienes del pueblo.
Durante el evento que fue supervisado por inspectores de la Junta Central Electoral (JCE) y desarrollado conforme al mandato de la Ley 275-97, que rige el sistema electoral dominicano y de acuerdo a los artículos 128 y 150 de los estatutos del PDI, a Reyes le fueron concedido poderes tan amplios como fueren necesarios para que éste pueda pactar y firmar válidamente, aquellos pactos de carácter político-electoral, que entienda beneficioso al partido, según el artículo 109 de sus estatutos.
En el marco de la asamblea el candidato escogió como candidato vicepresidencial a Sigfredo Serulle, presidente del PDI en provincia de Santiago de los Caballeros.
Agregó que aunque ha recibido mandato de la convención para decidir en nombre de la organización, jamás permitirá que se dejen de lado los postulados y los compromisos del PDI con el pueblo dominicano. Llamó a votar masivamente por el PDI, en la casilla 19.
