Ministerio de Trabajo informa viernes 18 y lunes 21 de mayo son laborables
Santo Domingo, RD.- El Ministerio de Trabajo informó a la colectividad empresarial y trabajadores del país, que el viernes 18 y lunes 21 de mayo serán laborables, mientras que el domingo 20 en que se celebran las elecciones presidenciales y de diputados de ultramar, será feriado.
El Organismo refiere que “aquellas empresas cuyos trabajadores deban asistir bajo específicas condiciones, se les deben buscar los mecanismos necesarios, para que puedan ejercer su derecho al voto, tal cual lo establecen las leyes y la Constitución”.
A través de una nota de prensa, el Ministerio recuerda que “es de carácter obligatorio el que los empleadores permitan el libre ejercicio del derecho al voto de todas y todos los dominicanos del sector, sin importar su rama laboral”.
Atendiendo al cumplimiento de la Ley 139-97, que establece la aplicación de los días feriados, el Ministerio informa que la clase trabajadora debe reintegrarse a sus labores cotidianas el lunes 21 mayo, salvo cualquier otra disposición Presidencial del Poder Ejecutivo.
