México impulsará en G20 una agenda para recuperar crecimiento a largo plazo
Guadalajara (México).- México, país que preside el Grupo de los Veinte (G20) en 2012, impulsará una agenda de medidas para recuperar la estabilidad económica y el crecimiento «más allá de la crisis de cualquier país» en la cumbre de líderes prevista en junio, afirmó hoy el presidente Felipe Calderón.
«Nos proponemos que la agenda del G20 sea a largo plazo, que no se agote en la coyuntura ni en la problemática que ahora se vive ni tan solo en el tema de la crisis griega o cualquier otro país», dijo el mandatario al clausurar hoy en Guadalajara, oeste de México, una reunión de ministros de Trabajo del G20.
Calderón afirmó que la «primera prioridad» mexicana ante la cita de Los Cabos es «cómo recuperar la estabilidad económica y el crecimiento».
«Ésta es la condición básica para que se generen más y mejores empleos en nuestras sociedades. Estabilidad, sí, pero crecimiento, también», agregó.
El presidente mexicano elevará sus propuestas y este planteamiento ante los que participen en la cumbre de líderes del 18 y 19 de junio en Los Cabos, un importante enclave turístico del noroeste mexicano.
Calderón citó las estimaciones de la Organización Internacional del Trabajo (OIT) para 2012, cuando se prevé que cerca de 202 millones de personas estén desempleadas, lo que da idea de que la economía mundial «sigue viviendo un momento de gran fragilidad» que responde a «la incertidumbre que se sigue observando en la zona euro».
El mandatario latinoamericano hizo un llamado a las economías del G20 y las instituciones financieras internacionales a «dar una solución duradera y sobre todo creíble» al problema del desempleo, y para recuperar la confianza en la coyuntura «este mismo año».
En la reunión de Guadalajara, de dos días, participaron los ministros de Empleo del G20, así como los de España, país que es invitado permanente desde 2008, Colombia y Camboya, que asistieron al encuentro invitados.
También estuvieron en la cita representantes empresariales y sindicales, y de la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económicos (OCDE) y la Organización Internacional del Trabajo (OIT).
La secretaria (ministra) mexicana del Trabajo, Rosalinda Vélez, dio a conocer las tres conclusiones de este encuentro ministerial entre las que destaca la definición de estrategias para asegurar empleos al sector juvenil, que está «fuertemente afectado por la crisis del empleo».
«Debemos sumarnos gobiernos, empresarios, trabajadores y la sociedad en general, para avanzar realmente en la solución», sostuvo la ministra.
Durante la reunión, los ministros definieron un documento de estrategias del G20 sobre empleo de jóvenes que identifica las políticas exitosas en el ramo que pueden ser replicadas en distintas economías.
De acuerdo con cifras de la OCDE divulgadas con ocasión del encuentro de Guadalajara, los jóvenes siguen soportando la peor parte de la crisis laboral, con casi 11 millones de personas de entre 15 a 24 años sin trabajo en los países del G20 a principios de 2012.
Los ministros insistieron en la necesidad de promover la igualdad de condiciones en el acceso al mercado laboral así como políticas que mejoren los sistemas de protección social y que aumenten la participación laboral en el mercado formal y a la vez, mejorar las condiciones de quienes están en la informalidad.
El año que viene la Presidencia del G20 recaerá en Rusia, que coordinará los trabajos del foro surgido en 1999 y que aglutina a países emergentes e industrializados. EFE
