Marranzini asegura habrá 24 horas de luz en Nochebuena y Año Nuevo
Santo Domingo, RD.- El vicepresidente ejecutivo de la Corporación Dominicana de Empresas Eléctricas Estatales (CDEEE), Celso Marranzini, anunció que se ofrecerá a todo el país 24 horas de luz en Nochebuena y Año Nuevo.
Marranzini dijo que explicó que la CDEEE dará 24 horas de luz, desde las seis de la tarde del 24 hasta las seis de la mañana del 25, día de Navidad, así como el 31 de diciembre al primero de enero, día de Año Nuevo.
Sin embargo, indicó que para el día 25 del mes en curso, y primero del siguiente, los circuitos clasificados como A y B continuarán con el suministro de manera permanente, mientras que los C y D, recibirán cuatro horas más de la electricidad acostumbrada.
El funcionario público hizo las declaraciones al término de una conferencia de prensa este lunes (ayer) en la se abrió el proceso de licitación para la expansión de la capacidad de generación eléctrica que permita al país contar con energía a precios competitivos.
La CDEEE lanzó un proceso de licitación pública internacional para la expansión de la capacidad instalada nacional por hasta 1,000 megavatios, con posibilidad de ampliarla hasta 1,500 megavatios, mediante la instalación de nuevas unidades de generación con una inversión estimada de 3,000 millones de dólares.
Informó que el objetivo de esta licitación es atraer inversión local y extranjera para la construcción de nuevas plantas de generación a carbón o a gas natural, con una o más unidades de hasta 260 megavatios cada una, las que venderán hasta un 95% de la potencia neta nominal en megavatios del conjunto de las unidades de generación respectivas a las empresas distribuidoras, a partir de agosto de 2016.
Dijo que las bases de la licitación serán publicadas el día 20 de enero de 2012.
Señaló que las inversiones resultantes del proceso de licitación se desarrollarán mediante el esquema Build-Own-Operate (BOO, por sus siglas en inglés), en virtud del cual, los inversionistas adjudicatarios serán los únicos responsables y propietarios del desarrollo, construcción, financiación y operación de las plantas respectivas.
Refirió que la suscripción de los nuevos contratos de suministro, resultantes del proceso de licitación, entre el oferente adjudicatario respectivo y las empresas distribuidoras, exigirá una duración de 15 años, no renovables, según el aviso dirigido este lunes (ayer) a la comunidad local e internacional.
Marranzini ofreció la información en la mencionada rueda de prensa, en compañía de Enrique Ramírez, presidente de la Comisión Nacional de Energía (CNE) y de Juan Bautista Gómez, superintendente de Electricidad (SIE).
