ANJE resalta medidas económicas ante año electoral 2012
Santo Domingo, RD.- La Asociación Nacional de Jóvenes Empresarios (ANJE) resaltó las medidas económicas que considera de prioritaria su aplicación por parte de las autoridades en el 2012, en especial siendo este un año electoral.
El presidente electo de ANJE, Manuel Cabral, expresó que “siendo el 2012 un año electoral, el gobierno debe ejecutar las acciones necesarias para restablecer el acuerdo con el Fondo Monetario Internacional, que está en riesgo debido al incumplimiento de las autoridades con los compromisos asumidos en materia de política fiscal, a pesar de haber aumentado la carga impositiva a los sectores productivos nacionales. ANJE ha planteado que el acuerdo con el FMI es de suma importancia ante la difícil coyuntura económica internacional y constituye un contrapeso ante cualquier intención de utilizar los recursos públicos para la campaña electoral”.
Cabral manifestó su preocupación porque se tomen medidas de carácter cortoplacista al ser el 2012 un año electoral. En ese sentido señaló que “es necesario que las autoridades aumenten la eficiencia y la transparencia en el manejo del gasto. Deben generarse mayores niveles de ahorro en el sector público para financiar la inversión que requiere el país para su desarrollo, evitando que se siga aumentando la deuda pública”. ANJE propone identificar y eliminar gastos superfluos, continuar la sustitución de programas de subsidios generalizados por subsidios focalizados, así como revisar las políticas de transferencias. Su planteamiento es que la inversión debe priorizar las áreas clave para garantizar la competitividad de los sectores productivos en el mediano plazo, como es el caso de la educación.
Para mejorar la competitividad, ANJE también aboga por la transparencia de la tarifa eléctrica, la diversificación de la matriz de generación, el cumplimiento de la Ley de Electricidad y el fortalecimiento institucional de este sector. Entienden que sólo así será posible garantizar la sostenibilidad y calidad del servicio a precios razonables. Cabral resaltó también la importancia de flexibilizar la política cambiaria, a fin de garantizar la competitividad de nuestras empresas exportadoras.
ANJE entiende que aunque en el año 2012 se tengan elecciones presidenciales, como país, se debe mantener el foco en la implementación de medidas que fortalezcan el sector productivo nacional, con la finalidad de hacerlo más competitivo, y promuevan un clima de negocios favorable para mantener las inversiones existentes en el país y atraer nuevas.
