ANJE se opone CNM seleccione jueces Altas Cortes sin presentar listas cortas
Santo Domingo, RD.- La Asociación Nacional de Jóvenes Empresarios (ANJE) se opuso este martes a que el Consejo Nacional de la Magistratura (CNM) inicie el proceso de selección de los jueces que ocuparán las Altas Cortes, sin antes realizar una preselección de los candidatos, que permita a la sociedad ponderar la línea de pensamiento, habilidades y capacidad de los seleccionados.
La presidente de ANJE, Lara Guerrero, expresó que “esto ha sido un proceso que conllevó la entrevista de casi 300 profesionales del derecho, por lo que exhortamos al CNM que realice una lista corta que incluya los preseleccionados por cada tribunal, y que se habilite un espacio, para que la sociedad tenga el derecho a presentar objeciones e impugnaciones, en caso que corresponda.”
Indicó que para ANJE la selección de los jueces de las Altas Cortes representa uno de los pilares fundamentales para el fortalecimiento de la institucionalidad, pues serán los servidores que administrarán la justicia por un período de alrededor de 15 años, y por tanto, se requiere de profesionales íntegros, competentes, laboriosos, para garantizar la independencia y autonomía del Poder Judicial.
Guerrero resaltó que “en ANJE entendemos que los jueces del Tribunal Superior Electoral deben seleccionarse lo más pronto posible por los comicios electorales que se avecinan, sin embargo, el CNM no debe tener la misma premura para la selección de los jueces del Tribunal Constitucional y la Suprema Corte de Justicia.”
Precisó que ANJE ha abogado para que el proceso de selección de los jueces de las Altas Cortes se desarrolle bajo el más alto sentido de transparencia e integridad, de forma que involucre la participación de todos los sectores de la sociedad, por lo que solicita al Consejo Nacional de la Magistratura que proceda a presentar los candidatos preseleccionados y luego pase al proceso de selección.
