LF afirma FMI seguirá monitoreando economía de RD; inaugura nueva planta Pasteurizadora Rica
Santo Domingo, RD.- El presidente Leonel Fernández afirmó este miércoles que el Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI) continuará monitoreando la economía del país hasta el mes de junio, a pesar de haber concluido el Acuerdo Stand-By suscrito entre las autoridades y los representantes de ese organismo.
El mandatario hizo la afirmación al hablar a los periodistas que cubren la fuente del Palacio Nacional, luego de encabezar la ceremonia de inauguración de la nueva planta procesadora de la empresa Pasteurizadora Rica.
El jefe de Estado dijo que a pesar de haber finalizado el acuerdo con el FMI, la confianza en el país seguirá y en términos económicos, la nación seguirá creciendo.
Observó que en lo adelante lo que habrá será un monitoreo de la economía por parte del organismo internacional hacia la República Dominicana.
En ese sentido, el mandatario recordó que el acuerdo con el FMI expiraba en el presente mes de febrero.
El presidente Fernández manifestó que el monitoreo por parte del organismo prestatario hacia la República Dominicana podría extenderse hasta los meses de junio y julio del año en curso.
Confianza en economía
Observó que la confianza en el futuro económico de la República Dominicana, es un indicativo de que el país continuará creciendo y progresando.
Fernández afirmó que la inauguración de las nuevas instalaciones de la Pasteurizadora Rica, es también una muestra del nivel de expansión que en términos de economía se está produciendo en el país.
«La Pasteurizadora Rica se encuentra dentro de las mejores del mundo, en lo que tiene que ver con la producción de leche», resaltó el gobernante.
En la actividad, bendecida por el Arzobispo Metropolitano de Santo Domingo, Cardenal Nicolás de Jesús López Rodríguez, estuvieron presentes empresarios nacionales e internacionales relacionados con los productos lácteos.
Las nuevas instalaciones de la Pasteurizadora Rica fueron construidas a un costo de 800 millones de pesos, lo que incluye terrenos y maquinarias para sus operaciones, comunicó el empresario Pedro Haché, presidente corporativo del Grupo Rica.
