Petróleo de Texas sube un 0.36% y cierra en US$84.29 por barril
Nueva York.- El petróleo de Texas subió hoy un 0.36% y cerró en 84.29 dólares por barril, con lo que reconquistó la barrera de los 84 dólares que perdió el pasado viernes, en un día en que se conoció un dato positivo sobre el sector servicios en EEUU.
Al cierre de la segunda sesión de la semana en la Bolsa Mercantil de Nueva York (Nymex), los contratos de futuros del Petróleo Intermedio de Texas (WTI) para entrega en julio sumaron 31 centavos al precio de cierre del lunes.
La cotización del llamado «oro negro», encadenó así su segunda jornada consecutiva de avances con lo que recupera parte del terreno perdido el pasado mes mayo, cuando registró una depreciación mensual del 17.4%.
El crudo de referencia en EE.UU. avanzó hoy animado por el ligero crecimiento que registró el mes pasado el sector servicios estadounidense, que representa más de tres cuartas partes de la economía del país.
El índice que elabora el Instituto de Gestión de Suministros se elevó desde los 53.5 hasta los 53.7 puntos, lo que, si bien es una leve ganancia, superó los pronósticos de los analistas y dio un respiro a los mercados.
Mientras, los operadores en el Nymex seguían de muy de cerca las noticias sobre la crisis europea, cuyos focos se encuentran actualmente en Grecia y España, y que hoy estuvo marcada por la conferencia telefónica de urgencia que mantuvo hoy el G-7.
Por otro lado, los contratos de gasolina con vencimiento en julio, los de más próximo vencimiento, sumaron un centavo hasta 2.68 dólares por galón (3.78 litros).
Por su parte, los contratos de gasóleo para calefacción con entrega también en julio avanzaron un centavo hasta 2.62 dólares por galón.
Mientras, los contratos de gas natural con vencimiento en el mes de julio sumaron 3 centavos para terminar en 2.44 dólares por cada mil pies cúbicos. EFE
