San Cristóbal, RD.-El alcalde Raúl Mondesí Avelino designó al periodista Carlos Corporán como director de la Unidad de Prensa del Ayuntamiento.
En la actualidad Corporán es el presidente de la Asociación de Cronistas Policiales (Acropol), por más de seis años consecutivos, y ha sido dirigente de la filial del Colegio Dominicano de Periodistas (CDP), en San Cristóbal.
Además, fue durante cuatro años director de Relaciones Públicas de la Autoridad Portuaria Dominicana, en dos ocasiones encargado de prensa de la desaparecida Industria Nacional de Vidrio, y de Molinos Dominicanos.
También, perteneció al grupo de redactores de Noticiario Popular; laboró en el periódico El Siglo, Última Hora, Periódico Hoy, y CDN Cadena de Noticias, y en la actualidad ejerce funciones de periodismo en San Cristóbal para el periódico El Nuevo Diario y el programa el Gobierno de la Mañana, de la Z101.
Asimismo, estuvo en el equipo de periodista de la Policía TV. Fue el fundador del Noticiario “Santo Domingo en la Noticia”, que se difundía por Radio KBM, en San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Además, coordina el espacio de noticias y comentarios, “El Censor de la Tarde”, que se transmite diariamente de 5:00 a 6:00 de la tarde, por Sur 91.9.
Corporán agradeció al alcalde Mondesí Avelino por depositar su confianza al designarle como director de la Unidad de Prensa del Ayuntamiento de San Cristóbal.
Este comunicador que fue candidato a síndico por el Partido Revolucionario Independiente (PRI), dijo que espera el apoyo de todos sus colegas, para levantar la imagen del Ayuntamiento.
