Cierra acuáticas y gift shop que operaban de forma irregular
Santo Domingo, RD.- Las autoridades del Ministerio de Turismo (Mitur) en el destino Bávaro-Punta Cana iniciaron una serie de operativos en el que cerraron tres acuáticas que operaban de forma irregular, varios gift shop y centros ilegales dedicados a la venta de excursiones y club de vacaciones.
Este primer operativo forma parte de las acciones de trabajo del viceministro de turismo para la región Este, Rafael Baron Duluc, conjuntamente con el director provincial de La Altagracia, Ruddy Pérez
Las acciones de clausura fueron realizadas por el encargado del departamento de Empresas y Servicios en el Destino, Richard Poueriet, acompañado de los inspectores de Mitur y miembros de la Politur.
Baron Duluc indicó que en los próximos días continuarán con los operativos de regularización de los diferentes negocios que operan en Bávaro-Punta Cana extendiendo las acciones a inspecciones a los equipos y a las plazas comerciales que brindan servicio al turista.
Mientras, Pérez afirmó que su principal meta es lograr la desarrabalización del principal destino turístico del país, trabajando de la mano con los diferentes sectores empresariales, sociales, asociaciones y las autoridades que inciden en el polo.
En el operativo fueron clausuradas “las acuáticas Delfines del Mar Azul, Funny Acuática y la que operaba en el hotel Barceló Dominican Beach, por no contar con las autorizaciones correspondientes”.
En el caso de las acuáticas Delfines del Mar Azul y Funny Acuáticas, ubicadas en la Plaza Guineos Maduros, aunque se encuentran en proceso de regulación, todavía no tienen la autorización, para operar y les decomisaron carpetas de venta de excursiones a la isla Saona, Samaná y Caballos, entre otras, que no guardan ninguna relación con la actividad de las acuáticas”.
También fue “cerrado el negocio Royal Holliday, ubicado en Bávaro, por dedicarse a la venta irregular de clubes de vacaciones”.
“Teníamos muchas quejas de turistas que nos denunciaban que visitaban el lugar, los embriagaban y luego les vendían los clubes de vacaciones”, puntualizó Poueriet.
Refirió que “en la plaza Vecaria fue cerrada, por las mismas irregularidades, la acuática Tobogán y se procedió a incautar una docena de negocios de gift shops estrellas de mar, caracoles y trozos de coral, cuya venta está prohibida por la Ley 541 de Turismo”.
También, la acuática que operaba en el hotel Barceló Dominican Beach fue cerrada por vender paseos en parasailing sin los permisos de lugar. En este sentido se explicó de las 15 empresas que ofrecen servicios de parasailing en el destino, solamente dos tienen los permisos de operación correspondientes.
“Algunas de las embarcaciones que venden excursiones en forma irregular, en parasailing, incluso tenían las sogas que sujetan los paracaídas empatadas, lo que representa un grave riesgo para la seguridad de los turistas”, enfatizó Pouriet.
Las autoridades informaron que en este mes de noviembre estarán verificando las demás empresas acuáticas instaladas en hoteles y áreas públicas, las cuales serán evaluadas y reguladas; continuarán con los trabajos de regulación y control de ventas de estrellas de mar, caracoles y trozos de coral, así como todas las actividades comerciales que se llevan a cabo en la zona dirigidas a los turistas.
