Benedicto XVI reitera su deseo de viajar a México y Cuba antes de Pascua 2012
Ciudad del Vaticano.- El papa Benedicto XVI reiteró hoy su deseo de visitar México antes de la próxima Semana Santa durante la audiencia pública de los miércoles, donde se ha instalado un nacimiento de estilo mexicano con artesanía procedente del estado de Puebla (México).
A la audiencia, celebrada en el Aula Pablo VI del Vaticano, asistió una delegación mexicana encabezada por el Gobernador de Puebla, Rafael Moreno Valle, y el arzobispo poblano, Víctor Sánchez Espinosa, a los que saludó el Pontífice y con los que departió al final de la ceremonia.
«Saludo cordialmente a los peregrinos de lengua española, en particular a la delegación del Estado de Puebla, México, con su gobernador, Rafael Moreno Rosas. Agradezco su presencia y las muestras de la rica artesanía mexicana que han traído, y espero, con la ayuda de Dios, poder ser yo esta vez quien visite su País», dijo el papa hablando en español.
Como es ya tradición, este año otro estado mexicano, en esta ocasión Puebla, regaló al Vaticano un pesebre y adornos para los abetos navideños.
El Portal de Belén está formado por una quincena de piezas de cerámica talavera y ha sido instalado en el Aula Pablo VI, donde el Pontífice celebra las audiencias públicas y otros eventos. Benedicto XVI visitó el Pesebre, de estilo poblano, y lo bendijo.
La catequesis de la audiencia la dedicó a la oración de Jesús y sus obras de curación, como en los casos del sordomudo o la resurrección de Lázaro, y aseguró que ante cualquier dificultad se debe rezar con confianza en Dios, «ya que es el único capaz de dar la vuelta a situaciones humanamente imposibles».
Benedicto XVI anunció personalmente el pasado día 12, festividad de la Virgen de Guadalupe, que viajará a México y Cuba antes de la próxima Semana Santa.
Aunque de momento se desconocen las fechas, fuentes vaticanas señalaron a Efe que será en la segunda quincena de marzo, presumiblemente entre el 23 y el 28.
Este será el segundo viaje del papa Joseph Ratzinger a América Latina, tras el realizado a Brasil en 2007, y el primero a dos países de habla española de esa zona que Juan Pablo II denominó el «continente de la esperanza». EFE
