Los espectadores que lograron su entrada serán de los primeros en revivir en la gran pantalla el viaje y el hundimiento del famoso transatlántico plasmados en el largometraje de 1997 dirigido por James Cameron y ganador de once premios Óscar.
Las proyecciones del día de San Valentín tendrán lugar en las principales ciudades de EE.UU. así como en Argentina, Brasil, España, México, Australia, Alemania, Francia, Italia, Japón, Nueva Zelanda, Reino Unido, Sudáfrica y Taiwán.
El lanzamiento mundial de «Titanic» en 3D está previsto para el 6 de abril.
Hasta el debut en 2009 de «Avatar», también de James Cameron, «Titanic» ostentaba el título de la película más taquillera de la historia tras lograr una recaudación superior a 1,800 millones de dólares.
