El crudo de referencia en EE.UU. registró ese leve ascenso en un día en que los inversores siguieron viendo con preocupación la evolución de la crisis de deuda en la zona euro, y muy pendientes de la cita de los líderes en Bruselas.
En clave interna, este martes (ayer) se conoció un aumento en abril pasado de un 1.3% en el precio de las viviendas unifamiliares en Estados Unidos, el principal consumidor energético del mundo.
Por su parte, la confianza de los consumidores cayó en junio hasta su nivel más bajo desde enero, según datos publicados por The Conference Board.
Mientras, el llamado Índice de Confianza Económica de Gallup, que mide las condiciones y pronósticos de la economía nacional, registró un puntuación media de -26 la semana que concluyó el domingo pasado.
Los contratos de gasolina con vencimiento en julio permanecieron sin apenas cambios y cerraron en 2.64 dólares por galón (3.78 litros).
Por su parte, los de gasóleo para calefacción también para entrega en julio avanzaron esta jornada cuatro centavos y cerraron en 2.57 dólares por galón.
