Nueva ministra de Trabajo dice seguirá fortaleciendo sistema laboral de RD
Santo Domingo, RD.- La ministra de Trabajo, Maritza Hernández, proclamó que con el consenso de los trabajadores y empleados continuará fortaleciendo el sistema laboral dominicano.
Tras ser posesionada en el cargo por el consultor jurídico del Poder Ejecutivo, César Pina Toribio, precisó que basará su gestión en el fortalecimiento de cinco ejes transversales, los cuales estarán focalizados al fortalecimiento institucional y del Sistema Dominicano de Seguridad Social.
Dijo que dará prioridad al diálogo social con los actores laborales, u que además fortalecerá la igualdad de oportunidades y la no discriminación. Añadió que erradicará el Trabajo Infantil, haciendo énfasis en la eliminación de la explotación sexual comercial.
La funcionaria manifestó su agradecimiento a Dios y luego al presidente Danilo Medina, por la confianza depositada en ella, para dar ejecución al área laboral contemplado en el nuevo programa de Gobierno, así como a todos los Ministros que han precedido el Ministerio de Trabajo, por los aportes realizados.
“Me siento muy honrada por la designación, posición desde la cual haré el mejor de los esfuerzos, para continuar el desarrollo positivo del sector laboral y garantizar la inserción laboral de los hombres y mujeres que esperan encontrar un trabajo decente”, puntualizó Hernández.
Manifestó que su experiencia acumulada durante ocho años como viceministra de Trabajo, la pondrá en ejecución en su nuevo rol, desde donde “daré prioridad a la institucionalidad, la equidad de género, la no discriminación laboral, así como la defensa de los derechos laborales de las y los dominicanos”.
Anunció que basará su gestión en el fortalecimiento de cinco ejes transversales, los cuales estarán focalizados al fortalecimiento institucional y del Sistema Dominicano de Seguridad Social; el Diálogo Social con los actores laborales; así como fortalecer la Igualdad de Oportunidades y la No Discriminación, además de la Erradicación del Trabajo Infantil y sus Peores Formas, haciendo gran énfasis en la erradicación de la explotación sexual comercial.
De su lado, Francisco Domínguez Brito, ministro de Trabajo saliente y actual procurador general de la República, dijo “estar confiado en que la calidad humana y la solidaridad de Hernández, se transmitirá a todas las ejecutorias del Ministerio de Trabajo, augurándole éxitos frente al nuevo reto que la funcionaria asume”.
