Banco Popular recibe dos importantes galardones por su eficiencia y calidad
Santo Domingo, RD.- El Banco Popular Dominicano ha sido elegido por las prestigiosas revistas financieras Euromoney y World Finance como la mejor entidad financiera de la República Dominicana en 2012. Ambos reconocimientos destacan los altos estándares de eficiencia y calidad del banco.
En el caso de Euromoney, se trata de la séptima distinción que el Popular recibe en los últimos años como Mejor Banco de la República Dominicana. Este premio es uno de los más importantes que se concede anualmente en la industria financiera mundial. La premiación se llevó a cabo en Londres, Reino Unido, el pasado 5 julio, en el marco de la cena de gala Euromoney Awards for Excellence.
Desde 1992, esta revista británica realiza cada año clasificaciones que reflejan los logros y calidad de servicio de las principales instituciones financieras en 100 países, destacando aquellas que demuestran mayor liderazgo, innovación y mejor operativa en sus mercados. Se consideran como un indicador de la fortaleza institucional y el buen desempeño de las entidades financieras.
Mejor grupo bancario
Por su parte, la publicación financiera World Finance, también con sede en Londres, eligió al Banco Popular como el mejor grupo bancario de la República Dominicana en su edición julio-agosto de 2012.
El galardón Best Banking Group fue creado por World Finance para exaltar las mejores prácticas bancarias del mundo financiero y de los negocios a nivel global. La publicación selecciona anualmente en cada país la entidad financiera más destacada dentro de un marco de desempeño financiero, de servicio y de administración de riesgo.
La revista británica premia anualmente un total de cuatro categorías: mejor grupo bancario, mejor banco privado, mejor banco de inversión y mejor banco comercial, que son seleccionados por un panel de especialistas en el área financiera.
El presidente del Banco Popular Dominicano, Manuel A. Grullón, expresó su satisfacción y la de todo el personal de la organización financiera por estos prestigiosos galardones internacionales, al tiempo que resaltó la importancia del respaldo y confianza de la clientela, de la sociedad dominicana y de la comunidad financiera internacional, que son quienes hacen posible estos reconocimientos al primer banco de capital privado del país.
